Would love a threadripper for my video editing/encoding hobby. But unfortunately, I can't justify the price.
Easier to leave batch tasks for overnight processing on my aging 5800X.
It's a shame that consumer oriented TR ended with the 3000 series. Platform owners must have felt massively short changed by that (my friends and associates with 2 and 3000 series TRX rigs certainly did)
That L3 has 3 times the amount of memory that I had in my whole Windows XP box back in the day
